3D Printing

/ Manufacturing Methods

FFF Printing

Materials | PLA Pro, PETG, ABS, CF, COPA
Resolution | 0.15mm
Fused Filament Fabrication allows for production of both personal grade and prototype grade parts. FFF can be utilized for small batch manufacturing as well as one of a kind parts for your professional prototypes and personal projects.

DLP Printing

Materials | Build, Blu, Tenacious, Sculpt
Resolution | 0.05mm
Direct Light Penetration printing allows for production of both prototype grade and engineering grade parts. DLP produces part that exhibits high levels of detail that allow for intricate textures, smooth surfaces, and a large variety of engineering grade materials.

An array of filament options are available. For prototyping, white is the most common color as it can be marked up with notes. Prints can feature most colors and can be printed in up to 8 colors or materials.

DLP Hourly Printing Rate

DLP can produce smooth, accurate, solid, and clear parts. Depending on part size, this method has increased productivity as 1 part takes the same time to produce as 160 equal parts.

Core offers multiple resin options that can be dyed any color. Based on the resin’s properties, one can create parts that are heat resistant, impact resistant, and highly accurate.

FAQs

  • When determining which manufacturing method to use, three factors need to be considered: Print Size, Material, and Cost.

    Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF)

    Wide range of materials

    Quickly produce parts

    Lower cost compared to DLP

    Digital Light Processing (DLP)

Can create solid & translucent parts

High efficient printing (A full build plate prints at the same time as a low volume build plate)

    Highly accurate

  • With many filament options, lets break down the properties of the most used materials:

    Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF)

PLA | Great for quick prototyping & promo items such as keychains.

TPU | Can create flexible parts.

PETG | Similar to PLA with increased temperature & impact resistance.

ASA | Resistant to heat and UV rays while also very durable.

Nylon | Extremely tough and slightly flexible with high impact, heat, and UV resistance.

PC | Engineering grade strong filament with flame resistant capabilities.

    Digital Light Processing (DLP)

Build | Designed for high precision prints.

Fast | Similar to PLA in it is great for quick prototyping & promo item production.

Sculpt | Exhibits high temperature resistance; perfect for creating molds.

Tenacious | Creates flexible parts at SLA quality.

Blu | Produces high strength, highly accurate parts.

  • An item’s print time is based on volume distribution. A flat object will print much faster than a tall object. Including printing and finishing, it takes between 2 and 5 business days until your order is ready for shipping or pickup.

  • For clients who live a distance away, we offer nationwide shipping via UPS. For clients in the Huntsville area, we offer pick up from our design studio.

  • Since capacity is so largely based on print size and complexity, here are several examples of past orders with their production rates.

    3’’ x 1.5’’ x 0.16’’ Keychain | PLA | 160/day

    1’’ x 1’’ x 3’’ Small Rocket | PLA | 51/day

    10’’ x 2.5’’ x 0.12’’ Bendable Lid | TPU | 16/day

    6’’ x 5.75’’ x 6.5’’ Table Top Building | PLA | 12/week
